Potty train is a YAY!

I had this  thinking that how would i start and end up with this potty train

at times, i sukahati get worried on when should i start this with HM

should i start now when she's 24mo or later or when exactly is the best time?

Mind you, this training need lots of sabar and hard work, both from parents and kid/s

i first started when she's 27mo kot. HM was a bit unable to recognize when she supposed to tell us that she wanna go pee/poo. but she can understand us

of course there's an incident where i screamed when she accidentally pee-ing at my sofa and carpet (bad mummy) and i just feel give up of continuing this

i just give up, especially when you're in the midst of cooking/hungry (major) etc

so we give a break. just can't do this now, yet

so there's time come where my PIL (parent in laws) off for a vacation for a week.

5 working days!

so me and hubby had to take turn babysit HM at home and was thinking this is the best time for us to start potty train exclusively with HM

so we get the potty box ( i dunno what u call it lah)

 and by this time HM was 31mo

It's just so happy when you were fetched from work by both of my darlings and the good news is "HM dah boleh kencing potty"

That's major YAY for me. what we did was :

1. as other suggested, bring HM to toilet for pee every 15mins. but for us we did every 20-30 mins. depends on the situation, if she just finish drank, 10mins after that we bring her to the toilet
2. keep on telling  numerous time and explain to her that "she have to pee/poo in the toilet/on potty box, she's a big girl that need to do that, that other friends are doing the same thing" or any other examples
3. praise and give good compliments whenever she success pee/poo
4. teach her to pakai her own panties/pant

for few days we tried her on diaper free only during daytime. But when we feel that she is able to inform us when she wants to pee/poo, then we extend it to night.

so far she's on diaper during sleeping time coz we noticed she still  heavily pee'd at night. and during daytime- before nap-finished drink-go to the toilet -then

 sleep-awake-go toilet again

for poo- either she do her business while on diaper/on potty box

but i prefer if you buy the potty sit that can be attached with adults toilet bowl and let them sit on top

there's one time when HM poo mencirit, in potty box and i suddenly nak muntah by the time i had to clean up the box (imagine that, i mau muntah ok)

so the key point is to train them continuously and not during weekend only (we did that be4 and it's not working ahha, padan muka)

and of course both parents have to involved  so the kid/s can see the participation and team work from all

and we also tried going out with HM on diaper free. We still practiced on taking her to toilet for a pee or she inform us of that. so far two occasions were double YAY!

so the good news now are;

diaper usage is less now, only nightime (less spending, phiew)

HM is able to tell us when she wants to pee/poo (which sometimes she also confused whether she nak poo or pee) haha but nevertheless she did it *clapclap*
